The story of the Garden of Eden is not merely a historical account—it is the origin of the human condition. The seven curses pronounced in Genesis 3 form the foundation of how the world now operates, shaping the struggles of humanity, the hostility between good and evil, and the deep longing for restoration. By examiningContinue reading “The Fall – Consequences”

Other Voices
Our lives are shaped and steered by the voices we choose to listen to.. Some of these voices are internal—the voice of God calling us to truth, the voice of the devil tempting us to sin, or even the echoes of past pain, fears, and insecurities. Others are external—the influence of those we love, theContinue reading “Other Voices”
The Flesh – Saving in your own hand
Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh (why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort)? – Galatians 3:3 At the root of all our problems is our desire to be independent from God, to do things our way. This isContinue reading “The Flesh – Saving in your own hand”
Endurance and the integrity test
The Christian life is full of many tests. Among these is one designed to expose our ability to endure situations that are contrary to God’s promises, where we are tempted to take an easy way out. Such situations are often crafted by Satan—the accuser, slanderer, and opposer. In the book of Job, we see SatanContinue reading “Endurance and the integrity test”
Led by the Spirit
The strategy employed by God to bring about salvation is a brilliant and ‘root-cause’ resolving strategy. Unlike the Old Testament, the New Testament does not directly confront sin but identifies the root cause of sin and provides a solution: death. Romans begins by explaining how the old nature, inherently sinful at its core, was inheritedContinue reading “Led by the Spirit”

Culture Wars iv – Alliances and Intermarriage
Jehoshaphat was a good king he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord but a series of what seemed like innocent mistakes would see him usher in the worst decline of Judah’s history. This story starts in Israel where a girl called Athaliah was born to Jezebel and Ahab, she grew up in a home where sin was the order of the day. Her mother epitomized wickedness, she introduced baal worship and executed anyone who posed a threat to her or her gods.
Generational Strongholds ii – Reformation
Generational sins are passed down from one generation to another, sin when accommodated and accepted as norm becomes a stronghold. They become acceptable and at times honorable, children who grow up in this home will not know better but follow in the footsteps of their parents, it takes great courage to break from this destructive believe systems. This is because this believe systems, are most of the times part of our culture and society. A good examples in scripture is the sin of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
Wholehearted Obedience vs Partial Obedience
At the center of man’s rebellion is the desire to be autonomous, the desire to decide what is good and evil and to follow through and leave within those self-imposed boundaries. From Adam and Eve, this theme is continued in the bible where generation after generation the Children of Israel chose to do what isContinue reading “Wholehearted Obedience vs Partial Obedience”
Authority & Oneness in the Family
The kingdom of darkness is waging war on the biblical foundations of family in this generation more than ever before, at the heart of this assault is a simple deception rooted in an old lie that was used to destroy the first family. Adam and Eve lived harmoniously with God as one, until the serpent convinced Eve that she could be like God and therefore not need God by having the knowledge of good and evil. The sad truth is that she was already like God..
